| Otto Bettmann ist das legendäre Bettmann-Archiv zu verdanken, welches heute im Besitz von Bill Gates ist. Als Bettmann 1935 nach Amerika emigrierte, hatte er mehr als 25.000 Negative im Gepäck und die Vision, damit etwas Großes zu erschaffen. Dies ist ihm gelungen , durch die Sammlung und Archivierung von Zeitdokumenten unschätzbarem Werts. Sei es Fotografien von Filmlegenden wie Marylin Monroe oder spektakuläre Ereignisse wie die Hindenburg-Katastrophe. Das Archiv umfasst heute etwa 11 Millionen Fotos. [ ] |
